Singapore Red Cross CEO Benjamin Williams on Afghanistan earthquake relief efforts


Aid has begun trickling into Afghanistan as the country deals with its deadliest earthquake in two decades. More than 1,000 people have been killed, and over 3,000 houses have been destroyed. Rescuers are racing against time to reach survivors. The Singapore Red Cross has started a fundraising appeal. It’s also committing $50,000 to support survivors and affected communities. Mr Benjamin Williams, CEO and secretary general of the Singapore Red Cross, shared more about the situation and relief efforts in Afghanistan.
