Talks to strengthen Singapore’s social compact aren’t just a government exercise, but a way to involve everyone in finding fresh possibilities for its people. Referring to the Forward Singapore movement, Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong said, despite global uncertainty, there remain opportunities for the region. He was speaking at the launch of Grab’s new Singapore headquarters. The nine-storey HQ spans 42,000 square metres. It houses 3,000 staff and an R&D space. Grab also launched a US$1 million programme to provide scholarships and bursaries across Southeast Asia.
