COVID-19 update, Aug 6: Singapore reports 301 new cases

Singapore reported 301 new COVID-19 cases on Aug 6. Of the four community cases, three are Singaporeans or permanent residents and one is a work pass holder. All four imported cases had been placed on stay-home notice on arrival. Most of the new cases continue to be migrant workers living in dormitories. Meanwhile, the health ministry said it expects numbers to remain volatile in the coming days before tapering down, as the inter-agency taskforce completes the clearance of foreign worker dormitories.
